What are Going Newsletters?

Every week, our team of staff and contract writers inspire and inform members with carefully researched and curated travel newsletters. These newsletters are sent directly to members’ email inboxes from hello@marketing.going.com.

But you may be wondering: what are our newsletters are about, and when can you expect to see them to your inbox? Mondays through Thursdays, be on the lookout for the following guides:

On Mondays, In the Know provides advice and news from the travel experts themselves. We discuss the best times and places to book flights, how to make the most of a layover, must-have travel gadgets, and so much more.

Tuesdays are for all things points and miles, including how to earn them quickly and how to redeem them for the best flights so you can travel more frequently.

Every Wednesday, Going Places ventures far into a city, island, state, country to uncover why it’s worthy of your next trip. We discuss the history, culture, food, language, and art of the place; need-to-know info like budget, when to go, and safety tips; and the best deals that we’ve sent there. Previous Places newsletters include Rome, Maine, Aruba, and many more.

Thursdays’ Worth the Flight newsletters explore one-of-a-kind, out-of-this-world experiences that you have to see to believe, like taking a boat ride through subterranean glowworm caves in New Zealand or staying in luxe glamping domes on one of South America’s largest salt flats.

Deep Dish dives into a dish, drink, or ingredient that you may encounter in a specific destination - covering where it comes from, how it's made, and restaurants or cafes where it really shines. Note: We are not currently sending Deep Dish newsletters via email but hope to again soon! You can still check out some of our most delicious content in our food guides.

Unsubscribing from Newsletters

If you'd prefer not to receive our Going newsletters, it's easy to unsubscribe at any time. On the web, head to your notifications page and toggle off the content that doesn't fit your current travel needs or interests.

On the mobile app, open Settings. Under Notifications, select Marketing Alerts and toggle your email and push notifications off.

Just remember: Our content is meant to inspire, so our guides may uncover travel tips that you’ve never thought of or destinations that you’ve never considered traveling to. With that in mind, we encourage you to keep your notifications turned on for all newsletter content!
