Referral Program FAQ

To thank our members for sharing Going with their friends & family, we've created a brand-new referral program. To understand more about how the program works, check out the FAQs below!

What is the Going Referral Program?

Going is thrilled to introduce our new referral program! If you know someone who isn't yet part of the Going community, invite them to join as a Premium or Elite member and help them discover the world. They'll enjoy a 20% discount on their first year, and you'll earn cash rewards.

How do I refer friends?

Log into your Going account and visit going.com/settings/invite to view your unique referral code. Share your code by copying/pasting the link, share directly on social media (Instagram, X, Facebook, Pinterest), or send an email directly from the page to encourage your friends to sign up.

You can also refer friends by forwarding flight deal emails or sharing deals directly from the Going website or mobile app using the “share this deal” button. See a deal you love? Send it to a friend! When they sign up for a Premium or Elite membership, you’ll get credit. Refer three friends to Premium or Elite to earn your first gift card.

What do I get for referring friends to Going; how much can I earn?
For every three friends you refer to Going Premium or Elite membership, you’ll earn a $100 Visa gift card. You can refer up to 15 new members per year for a total of $500. *Rewards are subject to change and Going reserves the right to adjust the program at any time.
What do my friends get when I refer them?

When you refer a new member, we’ll hook them up with a 20% discount on their first year of Going Premium or Elite membership.

Is there a maximum of friends can I refer?
You can refer up to 15 new members per year for a total of $500 per year. *Rewards are subject to change and Going reserves the right to adjust the program at any time.
I have a large following…can I refer my followers?
If you have a big audience, why not apply for our Affiliate Program? You can earn a commission for promoting Going on your social channels or website.
How and when will I receive my rewards?

After successfully referring three new members to Going Premium or Elite memberships, you will receive an email with a link to claim your gift card. Please note, successful referrals will take up to 45 days to count toward your rewards.

The person I referred didn’t receive my invitation. What should I do?
You can try inviting them again by logging into going.com and sending them an email from your Invite Friends page (you can also find this page via the drop down menu at top right). If they still did not receive the invitation, it’s possible the email is in their spam/junk folder or it was typed incorrectly.
My referral didn’t sign up using the email invite or deal email that was sent to them. Can I still receive referral credit?
Unfortunately, if the referred friend did not sign up via your unique link, it can not be counted as a successful referral. System limitations with the rewards partner we work with mean that our team is unable to retroactively add any referrals.
Where can I view my referrals?

All successful referrals are displayed in the tracker on your Invite Friends page (be sure you are logged into your Going account to view this page). We plan to add this feature to the Going app in the future.

Why aren’t my referrals showing up in my tracker?
Please note that a successful referral requires the referred friend to sign up for a new Going account and upgrade to a paid Premium or Elite membership. 45 days after their signup, your reward will be granted. If your referred friend was previously a Going member (either free or paid), or did not use your referral link, they will not be counted as a successful referral. Please feel free to contact our Support team by submitting a ticket here if you need additional help.
The person I referred signed up for a free Limited account. Will I still be rewarded?
The Going referral program is valid for new Premium and Elite (paid) members only. Limited memberships do not count toward rewards.
Can I receive rewards for previous friends I’ve referred?

No. The referral program only tracks new Going customers. We’re unable to offer rewards to members who signed up before the program launched.

I earned free time in the previous Scott’s Cheap Flights/Going rewards program. What happened to it?
Not to worry, if you accrued free months of Going membership from referring new members in the past, that time is still associated with your account and has been automatically applied.
Can I track my referrals in the Mobile App?
Not yet, but we plan to add this feature to the Going app in the future!
